At Magic Years, we believe in celebrating diversity and do not discriminate, ensuring a safe and loving space for all families. We use a wonderful app called Brightwheel to communicate with parents. Our Rooms
INFANT ROOM
The Infant Room consists of 2 caregivers and 7 babies. The ages for this room are from 3 weeks to 15 months. The Infant Room is on demand care. This means babies make their own schedule. If a baby requires a bottle, they are given one. All infants have their own porta crib that is labeled with the child's name. Sheets are provided by the daycare to insure proper fit. When infants are sleeping caregivers always have a visual on them. All caregivers must complete SIDS training.

TODDLER ROOM
The Toddler Room consists of 2 caregivers and 9 children. The ages for this room is 15 months to 2. There is 2 caregivers who are EEC certified in this age group. The activities are structured to allow caregivers to provide a safe environment that encourages gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive skills. The classroom has a flexible daily schedule with activities and hands-on projects. Toddlers' attention span is just starting to develop and need to be allowed to explore their curiosity. Circle time usually consists of morning greetings, books, and simple songs. If the weather permits, toddlers will go outside they can get exercise. Toddlers are changed every 2 hours unless needed. If a parent/guardian is potty training, we ask you to share this with the caregivers so they can continue it here. Caregivers at no time will punish a child for having an accident. Caregivers must remain positive. All soiled clothing will be put in a disposable bag to be sent home.
PRESCHOOL ROOM
The Preschool Room consists of 2 caregivers and 10 children. The ages for this room are 2 years and 9 months to 5 years. The Preschool room is a structured classroom with play areas that are divided into centers. The activities are structured to allow caregivers to provide a safe environment that encourages gross motor, fine motor, and cognitive skills. Repetition is the key to learning at this age. Circle time is a time where caregivers will discuss weather, start name and letter recognition, days of the week/month, sing songs and read books. Children go outside daily if the weather permits it, to allow for free play and burning energy. Self-help skills are promoted and include tying, zipping, buttoning, and changing your own clothes when needed.

Caregiver - young toddler
Khyla D.
Khyla Dutra is 23 years old, and lives in Wareham. Khyla has a son who attends daycare. Khyla has been working here for 2 years. Khyla has classes in Early Education through high school and is continuing her education though Cape Cod Community while working full-time.
Khyla is an EEC teacher qualified educator. Khyla is CPR/First Aide certified and takes
EEC training yearly.
Caregiver - young toddler
Selena A.
Selena Alvarado is 25 years old, and lives here in Falmouth. Selena has a daughter and a son who attend daycare. Selena has been working here since she was 18 on and off. Selena left for college and returned to work summers. Selena returned full-time after having her daughter, left again to work in the Falmouth public school as a teacher assistant. After having her son last year, came back while going to school full time to work in special education.
Selena is an EEC teacher qualified educator. Selena is CPR/First aide qualified yearly
and takes EEC training yearly.
Caregiver - older toddler/preschool mix
Cassie D.
Cassie Doble is 30 years old, and lives here in Falmouth. Cassie has a daughter who is elementary school. Cassie has been working at Magic Years for 2 ½ years. Cassie started out in the young toddler room and has worked in all the classrooms. Cassie is continuing her education in Early Education working on becoming a public-school teacher.
Cassie is an EEC teacher qualified educator. Cassie is First aide/CPR certified and
continues her training for EEC yearly.
Caregiver - preschool
Kimmy T.
Kimberly Thompson is 56 years old, and lives here in Falmouth. She has a daughter and a son, as well as 2 grandchildren. Kim has been at Magic Years since 2007, with the current owner, but was here with the previous owner when her children were younger. Kim will be continuing her education in Early education, focusing on areas she would like to strengthen. Kim is an EEC teacher qualified educator. Kim is certified in CPR/First Aide yearly.
Caregiver - infant
Trudi H.
Trudi Hightower is 46 years old, and lives here in Falmouth. She has two daughters. Trudi has been at Magic Years for 5 years. Trudi has had many classes in Early Education. She is deaf and fluent in sign language, as well as teaches children simple signs. Trudi continues to attend EEC training and classes to continue her education.
Trudi is EEC Director I & II qualified, CPR/First aide certified yearly.
Caregiver - infant
Robin T.
Robin Thompson is 62 years old. Robin lives here in Falmouth. Robin is a proud Aunty and Great Aunt of many. Robin has worked here for 4 years. Robin has been doing daycare for many years in home daycare. Robin is an EEC certified assistant as well as a teacher under the minimum requirements. Robin is CPR/First Aide and takes EEC training yearly.
Director
Megan L.
Megan Leary is 49 yrs old, and lives in Plymouth with her husband Joe. Megan has 2 sons who attended Magic years growing up. Megan has been teaching children for 32 years. Megan has been working for magic Years since 1997, except for a leave between 2007-2011 where she worked at Tender Years.
Megan is continuing her education in Early Childhood while being a director. She is certified in CPR/First Aide yearly.
Owner
Elisabeth K.
Elisabeth Kelly is 78 years old, and lives here in Falmouth. Elisabeth has owned the daycare since 1997 and has recently cut back her hours at the daycare.
Elisabeth has 3 children, all of which have blessed her with grandchildren. Elisabeth works a few days a week to be present in the daycare.
